At the moment there is no package available in the official repository for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty, so I added it to our PPA.

To install HandBrake Video Converter in Ubuntu 14.04/12.04/Linux Mint 17/13 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:

Terminal Commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jon-severinsson/ffmpeg
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/apps
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install handbrake-gtk handbrake-cli

To install HandBrake Video Converter in Older Ubuntu/Linux Mint versions open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:

Terminal Commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jon-severinsson/ffmpeg
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install handbrake-gtk handbrake-cli
